With an eye on the Dakar

Gerard Farrés i Toni vingut a la presentació del Dakar 2026

The Dakar 2026 is already starting to roll. We attended the presentation that was made in Les Comes where we were told the main characteristics of the hardest race in the world that will take place from January 3rd to 17th, entirely in Saudi Arabia.

The new edition covers 8,000 kilometers, of which 5,000 will be timed, with the start and finish in the town of Yanbu. The race will begin with a prologue and then consist of 13 stages, two of which will be marathons and therefore without service. This year, there will be no 48-hour stage from last year, nor will we pass through the Empty Quarter, one of the largest sand deserts in the world.

As we say every year, it will be a very tough and complicated race, and over four stages, the cars will have the toughest navigation, because the bikes will have a different route. Experience will be very important to finish and achieve a good result, and this will be possible, for the second consecutive year, thanks to the team I will be competing with -Pedregà Team- and the Ibizan co-driver Toni Vingut.

We’re facing a few intense months of hard work and training to get ready for the most challenging, yet rewarding experience in our sporting careers.
