Gerard Farrés and Toni Vingut sixth in the SVS general classification of the Dakar 2025

Gerard i Toni abans de la sortida del Dakar

The Farreti-Vingut tandem debuted in the Dakar with a good performance in its category. The team fought back, stage after stage, in a tough, complex rally with a challenging course between rocks, sand, dust and dunes.

In the first stages of the rally, they encountered very rocky terrain, but despite some setbacks, they managed to finish the different stages proposed by the organization and placed themselves in the top ten of the category. This is how Toni, Gerard’s co-driver, summed it up after finishing the Dakar: ‘It was a very difficult Dakar, but we got through it’.

From stage 10 the dunes began, a terrain in which Gerard feels comfortable and in which they achieved good results. ‘It has been one of those Dakar to remember. We can’t ask for more. You had to be realistic,’ said Gerard, happy, after his arrival at the final finish line.

The most supportive Dakar

Dakar isn’t just about racing; it is also about solidarity. A solidarity that Gerard wanted to take beyond the competition field by inviting his Instagram followers to sponsor Dakar kilometers to improve the care of children with cancer (1 km – €10).

A total of €380 was collected. The donation was made directly to ASPANOA, the chosen entity, an association that supports children with cancer and their families in Aragon.

In summary, Gerard and Toni, with the Pedregà Team behind them, have achieved a sixth position overall, a recognition of perseverance, teamwork and an attitude of continuous improvement.
